Rapido® Alco/MLW FA-2 PennCentral #1350 ESU® LokSound & DCC, HO Scale


The Rapido Trains Alco/MLW FA-2 is based on diesels built beginning in 1950 by the American Locomotive Co. and in Canada by licensee Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW). Packing the 12-cylinder 244 prime mover the units were offered in both freight FA-2 and passenger FPA-2 variations.

This HO scale diesel locomotive features prototypically accurate details including body type with correct phase detailing, roadname-specific detailing, etched-metal grilles and details, full underbody details, full cab interior, directional headlights and class lights. The smooth-running drive features a five-pole, skew-wound motor. This sound-equipped FA-2 includes a full-featured ESU® LokSound and DCC decoder with accurate sounds recorded from the prototype.
