This set of exceptional tweezers is perfect for use in many applications, including jewelry work, brazing, soldering and any type of small parts handling. Set features 6 cross-lock type (self-closing) and 2 non-locking, all with fiber grips that protect the user from excessive heat when soldering parts. Sizes range from 6-1/4" to 6-3/4" long with serrated tips for sure grip. Cross-lock tweezers include straight, oblong (5/16" to 1" capacity), round (5/8" to 1-3/8" capacity), square (1" to 1-3/4" capacity), angled and curved; non-locking tweezers have straight tips and open/close from 0 to 3/4". 6-1/4" to 6-3/4" long. All are packed in a handsome zippered leather case.

I like how most of these tweezers are self-gripping, they are spring loaded “on” to hold without your having to apply a lot of constant pressure. The little finger pads are a nice touch, but the edges should be smoothed with a small file or sand stick, they are fairly sharp right where you grip them. I actually removed the smaller “regular” straight tweezer to free up a spot, so I could use that one to store my empty scalpel (bladeless!) and a few blades. I chose this set rather than buying a complete dissecting kit (with tools I don’t need) or an empty dissecting case for the scalpel. I added a long zip pull and noticed some very slight defects on the outside of the case, I don’t recall if it arrived with them, the leather does seem to be quite soft. Recommended!
