More Information:

With a year of development in the bank, we undertook the task customers have asked for over several years - to provide them with an N Gauge Truck Spreading Plier. Along the way, we were dismayed at the complexity of providing one plier to perform the task, since the available manufacturers are not all on the same page with their sizing of axle length, nor coupler height, and with some brands not providing draft gear boxes with the truck assemblies and some that do. We have come up with the best compromise . . . and have tested them on Bachmann, Micro-Trains and Atlas rolling stock successfully. Our slim-line custom-made plier is now available! At 4-1/2" in length and only 3 oz. in weight, these spring-return-equipped pliers offer easy removal and insertion of wheelsets into N-Gauge trucks that do not have draft gear boxes included with them, while still offering a good amount of control and ease with ones that do - something which N-Gaugers have been forced to deal with for quite some time. The plier's 2 forks are super- thin and strong, but delicate enough to splay open the trucks just enough to drop out or pick up a wheel axle and to re-insert it. A secondary use for the plier is to insert a single fork under the trucks' king pin and pry it upward, allowing the entire truck to be more easily removed from the undercarriage and handles. When working with these miniature components, it is recommended that a rag or towel be placed under the rolling stock to prevent the parts from falling off the work surface and bouncing away into the never-lands under one's workbench.

New truck speader

I was hoping for a tool to help adjust the wheel spacing on a locomotive I have issues with.
This was not the case
However it works very well for spreading the trucks to get the wheel sets in and out.
