This gauge helps you to make adjustments to rolling stock and track to end annoying derailments. It will check for accurate track and switch dimensions, wheel spacing, flange depth, tire width and wobble. Just what a budding N scale empire needs!

These NMRA gauges (especially for N scale) are hard to find locally, and are readily available from MicroMark. The model that I want to build is a depiction of the Billings MT yard; it has a refinery and a sugar factory about 6 blocks apart in the real world, that are accessed from opposite ends of the yard.

This gauge will be indispensable in getting the spacing right between tracks, and around/next to various buildings and businesses. I'll probably use it to mark a strip of flat brass, for several tracks; 3 at least. The brass then can be used both for spacing, and for ensuring straight tracks in the yard ladders. But the NMRA N scale gauge will be key to keeping everything right.
