More Product Information
A unique power tool for the model maker and miniaturist. Like most grinding machines, ours will shape, smooth and deburr metal. It will also sharpen cutting tools and renew the edges on screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers, scribers and hundreds of other items. Unlike other grinders, ours includes a unique wheel made of woven fibers impregnated with abrasive grains. So, it will remove rust, paint and tarnish from most metals, as well. The variable speed control, another unique feature, lets you do intricate shaping of miniature parts. And, it includes a detachable 42 inch long flexible shaft with ergonomic handpiece and 1/8 inch collet to hold accessories that grind, buff, sand, drill and saw metal, wood and plastic. The all-metal motor housing with rubber feet includes a repositionable face shield, which protects eyes and skin from hot sparks. Overall size: 5 inches x 6 inches x 7 inches. Wheels are 3 inches in diameter x 3/4 inch wide with 10mm hole. Variable speed: 0 to 10,000 rpm. Easily portable . . . weighs just 6-1/2 pounds. 120v AC motor with 5 foot cord.

What a nice grinder/polisher! Runs quiet, true, and cool. Not powerful enough to replace a big shop grinder, but perfect for hobby use. I love the variable speed feature.
I bought it to polish old train tracks, and it does this just fine. Takes off the oxide and improves the electrical conductivity.
I re-ground a broken screwdriver. Had to turn up the speed a bit, but a good job.
Although the manual cover says it contains assembly instructions, none exist. Luckily, it is very easy to assemble. You have to attach the tool rest and eye shield on the grinder side. Just look at the picture. If you can't figure out how to do it, you probably should not be using power tools.
