Clamping Thing-a-ma-jig is 10" long and nearly 1/4 lb. of surgical stainless steel. Features include a unique arched backbone and 60 degree, 2-1/4" long nose. Thing-a-ma-jig's inner jaws have been specially milled to include mating longitudinal grooves which provide a sure grip without marring the surface of the object being held. Durable box joint construction, large, comfortable eye ring grips and 12-step ratchet catch round out the package. To use the Thing-a-ma-jig, squeeze the grips together until the first click. This brings the tips to within 3/32" of each other. The next 5 successive clicks slowly bring the jaws into full contact. The remaining 6 clicks allow you to control the amount of gripping power. For use with objects up to 1/2".
