More Product Information
Toolmaker-grade micro punch set makes perfect miniature disks from plastic, wood veneer, cloth -- even metal! And it punches tiny holes in materials virtually impossible to drill: thin metal sheet, cork, rubber, vinyl, and more. Use it on pre-printed paper gauge-faces and clear acetate sheet to create the most realistic miniature instrument panels you've ever seen. Also makes custom size washers and miniature gaskets. Easy to use: Just place the material between the clear guide plate and the perfectly matched hardened steel die, then insert the punch and tap through. Includes 9 precisely ground and hardened steel punches ranging from 1.0 mm (0.039 inch) to 5.0 mm (0.197 inch) diameter in 0.5 mm (0.0197 inch) increments. Approx. overall size: 1-1/4 inches x 2-5/8 inches.

A Micro-Mark Best Seller
!
Tried and true by customers just like you, this item is one of our best sellers!
Punch set works very well for cutting out printed gauges. Cut is very clean with no distortion of punch out. Also works well for cutting out clear plastic for lens covers. Highly recommended!

A must for any scratch-builder!
I'll admit, the price seemed high, which put me off from buying this sooner. I wish I'd given in years ago! This little unit is fantastic, and I can't tell you how many times I've used it. In my humble opinion, it is a must for any scratch-builder. I've used it to cut brass sheet, card and mainly plastic.
Note: The thicker the plastic you cut, the more of a 'dome-shaped' piece you will get. Sometimes, this works out for you.
All I can say is that I wish I'd had this little baby years ago!

Are there directions for this?
This works pretty well but unfortunately I am at this point unable to determine which side is the sharp side designed to cut through the sheet and which side is the part to hammer. I usually save directions so I may have misplaced them but I don't think so.************************************************Micro-Mark Update: Just place the material between the clear guide plate and the perfectly matched hardened steel die, then insert the punch and tap through.
