Wood Handle Pounce Wheel Set

Pounce Wheels are multi-purpose marking tools with a wide variety of applications in woodworking, pattern making, construction and more. This handy set includes a stocky and comfortably shaped wooden handle; two ten-pointed pounce wheels, one fine-point wheel with .199" spacing (just over 3/16") and one broad-point wheel with .144" spacing (just under 9/64") which leaves a .078" (5/64") mark; plus a handy, just-right-sized mini screwdriver for changing out the wheels. Tool is 5-1/2" long overall.

Pounce Wheels Explained

Use #1: Transferring drawings from paper to wood. Just roll the pounce wheel over the drawing and it perforates tiny holes in the paper. Place the paper over the wood, then rub powdered chalk (the kind used for snap lines; available at any hardware store) over the perforated holes. The chalk goes through the holes and marks the wood.

Use #2: Creating texture and simulated stitching on Cosplay EVA foam. The regular spacing provided by the pointed wheels creates a very convincing stitch pattern in EVA foam, especially when finished with a heat gun. Also excellent for tracing patterns onto Micro-Mark CosFoam EVA foam, MTP (Moldable ThermoPlastic), cardboard and more without cutting up your patterns.
