If you've ever tried to make your own grab irons by eyeballing and bending wire into shape with a plier, you already know that it's almost impossible to make any two exactly alike.



Our Grab Iron Bending Gauge has been specifically designed to quickly and easily form identical, precisely-sized grab irons from ordinary wire. Simply clamp your wire between the gauge's jaws at the selected size and bend to shape. Made of laser-engraved blackened CNC-machined steel for long life.

Scratch Builders Dream!

A must have. This is actually the bending gauge Funaro & Camerlengo uses to produce the grab irons used on their painstakingly exact rolling stock kits. I've never had a problem with sizes when using it. Makes me wonder if the person who had problems simply didn't have the right measurements? It's a little pricey, but its laser-engraved and machined steel. I've had mine since '10. It's worth the few extra dollars. Do yourself a favor and grab one. Pun intended!
