This precision tool is used by toolmakers to mark a perfectly straight and parallel line at the exact height required. Excellent for marking scale ship model waterlines and for transferring gunport, porthole and other item locations from the ship's plan to the hull. Can also be used for marking-out raised panels, windows, chair rails, etc. in dollhouse construction. Adjusts quickly to approximate location with coarse adjustment knob and then to exact location with fine micrometer type adjustment knob. Measures and marks any height from 0 inches to 10 inches. Made entirely of steel with ground and polished base and needle sharp scriber. Can also be used with a pencil.

Thanks for this video. I purchased this tool several years ago and find it indispensable for marking waterlines etc. on resin ship models which are my favourite subject. What I didnt realize was that I could use that large hole for pencil marking. I knowduh! I would always lightly scribe a mark with the supplied scriber. Im glad I watched this video.

Great tool!

Good quality foam clay

Unlike any air dry clay I've used .
Very easy to manipulate , doesn't stick to your fingers .
Can be made into paper thin sheets that hold their shape .

Thick sections will take well over 24 hours to dry out ; high water weight when fresh .
Evaporation slows down considerably once the outer " crust " dries on thick pieces .

After 24 hours @ 78 degrees and about 60% humidity , the 3.1 gram sample I experimented with weighs 1.2 grams .
.. and after 48 hrs weighs just 1/2 gram ,, and I don't think it's fully dry yet .

Definitely worth the price .
Very versatile .

My only complaint is the bag it comes in .
It is a zipper lock bag but you need to remove a fair amount of the product before you'll be able to engage the zipper .
It's stuffed full when new .
I fit the bag into a plastic container ( Folgers coffee 43.5oz can ) with an inch of water at the bottom to ensure it doesn't dry out until I use enough to be able to close the bag .
Most likely keep it in that can regardless , just to be safe .

Quality miniature model paint

This stuff is comparable to Vallejo paints which everyone in the hobby already knows are tried and true. I honestly would not be able to tell the difference between the 2 brands looking at a finished model or trying to paint with it. The price is about the same but this includes slightly bigger bottles with a better design on the lid and seem to come with a plastic mixer ball already inside but its hard to tell for sure. This paint set also includes a paint thinner and cleaner for airbrushing. Its really hard to beat the price and value of this paint set for anyone wanting to have a quality paint job on something. I would say its near impossible.
