Tamiya U.S. Medium Tank M26 Pershing Plastic Model Kit, 1/35 Scale

The T26E3 allowed the United States Army to stand up to the wrath of the powerful German Tiger I and Pz.Kpfw tanks. Equipped with a long 90mm gun, the M26 exhibited incredible mobility and was first deployed on the European front in February 1945, as part of the effort to invade the German homeland and facilitate their surrender.

When the Korean War began in June 1950, the M26 also fought successfully against the rival T34/85 Soviet built tanks of the North Korean and Chinese volunteer armies.

Turret, with its 90mm long barrel gun and the "boat hull like" underside, have both been faithfully reproduced with an incredible level of detail.

Crew hatches can be assembled in either the opened or closed position.

Movable suspension forms to the landscape of dioramas.

Small details like separate parts for the engine grills and cast iron appearance on the hull and the turret make kit seem even more real.

Machine gun ammunition boxes and two crew figures (torso) are included.

Decals for 4 different markings.

Great tool!

Good quality foam clay

Unlike any air dry clay I've used .
Very easy to manipulate , doesn't stick to your fingers .
Can be made into paper thin sheets that hold their shape .

Thick sections will take well over 24 hours to dry out ; high water weight when fresh .
Evaporation slows down considerably once the outer " crust " dries on thick pieces .

After 24 hours @ 78 degrees and about 60% humidity , the 3.1 gram sample I experimented with weighs 1.2 grams .
.. and after 48 hrs weighs just 1/2 gram ,, and I don't think it's fully dry yet .

Definitely worth the price .
Very versatile .

My only complaint is the bag it comes in .
It is a zipper lock bag but you need to remove a fair amount of the product before you'll be able to engage the zipper .
It's stuffed full when new .
I fit the bag into a plastic container ( Folgers coffee 43.5oz can ) with an inch of water at the bottom to ensure it doesn't dry out until I use enough to be able to close the bag .
Most likely keep it in that can regardless , just to be safe .

Quality miniature model paint

This stuff is comparable to Vallejo paints which everyone in the hobby already knows are tried and true. I honestly would not be able to tell the difference between the 2 brands looking at a finished model or trying to paint with it. The price is about the same but this includes slightly bigger bottles with a better design on the lid and seem to come with a plastic mixer ball already inside but its hard to tell for sure. This paint set also includes a paint thinner and cleaner for airbrushing. Its really hard to beat the price and value of this paint set for anyone wanting to have a quality paint job on something. I would say its near impossible.
