The invention of the steam engine led to the development of large paddlewheel riverboats that transported goods and people on the mighty Mississippi River from New Orleans to St. Louis. This new plank-on-bulkhead kit with high-precision laser-cut wooden parts includes photo-etched and die-cast parts which simplify construction and add detail to a classic riverboat model. Brass fittings, chains, and rigging line provide the finishing touch. Recommended for intermediate level modelers. Length: 26.0 in.; height: 7.6 in.; beam: 5.1 in. Scale 1/80.
