Dark Steel Gray is a cool, muted gray with olive undertones, designed to simulate aged and oxidized steel as seen on military vehicles, weapons, and equipment. Color Description:
Dark Steel Gray is a dull metallic-like neutral with hints of olive, capturing the appearance of worn steel that has been dulled by grease, grime, and repeated use in the field. The slight green cast allows it to harmonize with Olive Drab and other earth tones common to U.S. military hardware. It’s especially useful for hand-painted detailing that simulates unpainted steel components on vehicles, weaponry, and support structures.
This color was commonly seen on military hardware from World War II through Vietnam.
