Color Description
Stealth Black is a rich, ultra-flat black that eliminates gloss or shine. It mimics the radar-absorbent material (RAM) coatings used on early stealth aircraft and other low-visibility platforms. In model building, it creates bold, shadowed surfaces and contrasts perfectly with panel shading, wear, and weathering techniques. This is not just any black—it’s a tactical, purpose-driven finish.
This color was most famously used in Cold War stealth aviation:
