Gourd carvers like our MicroLux® Gourd / Cross Saw, because it easily cuts through irregular, non-flat objects. The saw's small, rounded shoe permits high maneuverability on both smooth and bumpy surfaces and keeps the cutting line visible for increased accuracy. Max. cutting thickness: 9/32". Includes Allen wrench and 10 coarse blades for soft woods and other craft items.

Please note: The #91133 Transformer is REQUIRED for ALL MicroLux®™ Miniature Power Tools. The tools will not operate without it. See details below.

Needs More Heft for Thick Gourds

This is an amazing little saw for tricky cuts and general gourd craft use but be sure your gourd shell isn't super thick or you'll break blades like crazy and the blades are pretty short so sometimes they won't even go down deep enough to cut through a really thick shelled gourd. And there's no easy way to get that last 1/8th inch or so cut through. But it's still the best hand jig saw out there for gourds so I try to be very slow and patient with it when the gourd is really thick. Wish there was a heavier duty version of this this saw for those of us who like to work on the really big, thick walled gourds.
